Mamaburra (Wild Peach) Clay & Ochre Scrub
Mamaburra, or wild peach, grow abundantly on Groote Eylandt, and provide the Warningakalina community with both delicious fruit and a red-tinged bark with many traditional uses.
Recognised by the Warningakalina people for its calming and soothing properties, mamaburra bark is wild harvested and combined with soft white Kaolin Clay, Groote Eylandt Ochre and an oatmeal soap base to provide a gentle and revitalising cleanser. Organic peppermint oil adds an uplifting and energising fragrance.
Clay and ochre scrubs are hand made on Groote Eylandt by the women of Bush Medijina from wild harvested traditional botanicals and organic ingredients. Each scrub weighs 120g and measures approximately 6.5 x 6.5 x 2.5 cm.
